Selected testimonials from our northwest students:
"The NaCSBA is a fantastic curriculum for progressively minded individuals who seek to expand their knowledge of sustainable design philosophies, techniques and technologies as they relate to the built environment. From the broad expanse of professional guest lecturers to the synthesizing academic exercises and the various field trips around the Portland/Metro area highlighting sustainably accredited commercial and residential "here and now" projects, the SBA curriculum is hardly lacking in informative and inspiring content. The vast expanse of information presented promises to challenge cultural perspectives on environmental stewardship and the corresponding actions taken as we progress in to the 21st century. As a LEED AP, this class has been very complementary to the material presented in that sustainable rating system, as it brings attention to additional options available to project teams attempting to obtain sustainable accreditation's for their respective projects. Beyond the formal framework of the class, the informal networking opportunities amongst the diverse cross section of professionals that make up your fellow peers in class, are immense. I wholeheartedly recommend the NaCSBA class to any individual who has a passion for protecting what we have today and desires to challenge future cultural paradigms, for the sake of preserving what we have left for tomorrow!"

"I was laid off from the home building industry after the housing bubble burst. The Sustainable Building Advisor Program seemed like a a good way to continue my education and build up my resume. In part to the SBA program, I successfully landed two jobs in the sustainable field shortly before completing the program. The program has also encouraged me to start my own business in the sustainable building field."
- Robbie Igoe, SBA Class of 09’
"I am thoroughly impressed by both of these instructors. Their professionalism, communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail is second to none. I have been a 'lifelong learner' for much longer than I care to admit (decades) and during this time have attended many physical and virtual classes and it is rare to find not only one but two instructors who act on such a high level toward their class and with their students. Especially in the online forum, it is crucial to have precise communication to guide the students. Ms. diCandilo and Ms. Hughes have both shown exemplary performance in leading this course. My experience has, needless to say, been wonderful and I am highly recommending this course to others."
